Dear Friends of Global Women’s Project,
It’s hard for me to believe the season of Lent is upon us again. As I prepare for the season, I’m grateful for the Lenten calendar that brings my attention each day to issues of wealth and privilege and to our global neighbors — specifically women. I find it such a great resource for my personal reflection. If you have our calendar, now is the time to get it out. Begin with day one tomorrow, Ash Wednesday.
Would you like to receive our Lenten calendar – at no cost to you? If so, you have two options:
- Send an email to email@example.com and request that we mail a paper copy to you. Be sure to include your name and address. You may also request multiple copies to share with others in your family or community.
- Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and request to be added to our daily Lenten calendar email list. You’ll get one page emailed to you each day during the season of Lent.Do it today; Lent starts tomorrow!
I would also like to add a reminder that International Women’s Day is coming soon: March 8. We invite you to celebrate International Women’s Day in your faith community some Sunday in March. Talk to your pastor or worship committee to begin planning now.
The Global Women’s Project website has International Women’s Day worship resources on our website. Check them out here. We hope these resources help you (or your worship planners) plan a meaningful worship.
May you all find yourself rich in all kinds of resources to sustain you during this Lenten season.
Blessings to you all,
Global Women’s Project Steering Committee Member
