Advent calendar
Do you long to nurture gratitude (rather than greed) within the midst of Advent? This calendar is filled with scripture, prayer prompts, activities and taxes, along with a color-by-day Christmas image. Download and print the calendar; it’s free to use and share (we hope you will donate your taxes to GWP). Use the calendar in personal prayer time, with your family around the dinner table, in a Sunday school class or small group with weekly check-ins, or as a congregation.
Lenten calendar
The Lenten calendar is an invitation to reflect on our abundant resources and what we might ‘give up’ during Lent for the sake of others. The calendars include scripture, information about women around the world and GWP partner projects. We can mail them to you, or send you one page per day by email throughout Lent. Children’s Giving Project: Uganda
Introduce children to the learning, giving, and growing nature of empowerment work! Children engage stories of Uganda and the United States, growing generous spirits. International Women’s Day
Every March 8 is International Women’s Day, an opportunity for your congregation to share stories, prayers and other worship resources celebrating women’s empowerment and global justice. Are you a preacher, poet or storyteller? Send us your writing to share with all seeking International Women’s Day worship resources. Use the liturgy and reflections for other special services: child dedication, #metoo or #churchtoo, women in the Bible or celebrating women’s ordination.
