Update from Life is Expensive in Rwanda:
“Apart from growing the ground nuts, this year we have been able to add two more crops:
- Pineapples: With some of the support that you gave us, this year we have been able to purchase and plant 2000 pineapples. We are planning to harvest them late December up to early January. You will find 3 pictures taken into our garden.
- Tropical Apples: Through our church, we have been able to get connected to a lady from Oklahoma who has a project that helps to grow apples in the tropical climate. She has been already successful to have some grown in the Western part of our country. She provided us with 150 plants that we have been able to plant on our own property. We are expecting to harvest some fruits in a period of 2 years. Another good thing with that type of apples is that you can still grow other plants in the same orchard.
- Tomatoes, Onions, Cabbages.
Thank you for your partnership and support. Now the income from our projects is helping some of our poor ladies to have access to medical care, send kids to schools and meet some basic needs.”
We are thrilled to be in partnership with Life is Expensive and for Esperance’s leadership!
