I want to send a huge THANK YOU to all who contributed to Global Women’s Mother’s Day Gratitude Project! We raised $6695, the second largest dollar amount in the past 6 years!!! We had 45 donations, 16 memorials, and sent 60 cards to honorees. We received such wonderful notes from the donors who so appreciate this project.

As we look ahead we hope to see many of you in Greensboro, North Carolina at Annual Conference. We will again be having tea… And, then we will be at NOAC at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina in September.

On a deeply sad note, Michael Leiter, husband of Cynthia Mason, who is a member of our GWP Steering Committee, died very suddenly on May 13. We want to extend our sympathy to Cynthia and family, and are sending positive thoughts and prayers as they make their way through these next weeks and months, and continue to grieve. Kim McDowell, another GWP Steering Committee member, has been able to spend time with Cynthia as they prepare Mike’s service. Throughout his life, he was committed to justice for women and was a strong supporter of the work our partners do. And, GWP has been designated as one of the memorials for Mike, for which we are so thankful!
