Greetings GWP Friends and Family,
Writing this update is bittersweet as I will be finishing up my three-year term with the Global Women’s Project steering committee next month at our fall meeting in Tipp City, Ohio. My involvement with Global Women’s Project thus far has emphasized to me the vast support network of powerful and impactful women throughout the Church of the Brethren and beyond. It has also challenged me to intentionally examine every aspect of my life and consumption habits and face the ongoing realization that they may not align with my professed faith and social values as much as I would wish. I appreciate that GWP continues to encourage us to turn our self-examination outwards through grants which have such a concrete impact on the lives of women around the world.
If you are in the Tipp City area this fall please consider joining us at the West Charleston Church of the Brethren on October 21st at 9:00 am for an adult Sunday School and 10:15am for worship. We look forward to connecting with GWP supporters and welcoming a couple of new steering committee members.
