Global Women’s Project strives to join the journey of empowerment of women all over the world, through partnering with grassroots, women-led initiatives.
The focus of the Global Women’s Project is the global poverty, oppression and injustice which women suffer, and our own (as US Americans) overconsumption and misuse of resources which directly contribute to their suffering.
The projects we fund must be led by indigenous women, benefit a collective (not an individual) and promote lasting development. These projects must address women’s essential human rights and needs. GWP prioritizes projects addressing health, food and nutrition, housing, economic development and economic, social and racial/ethnic justice.
GWP encourages sustainable and appropriate technology and development practices. Projects should have a commitment to non-violent values in achieving their goals.
