Steering Committee members Kim Hill Smith and Anke Pietsch set up a very colorful booth at Annual Conference in Charlotte. Our three beautiful dolls went for $150 to a wonderful home in California!We enjoyed spending time with everybody that came to our booth to look at pictures and share stories.
During our tea time to celebrate 35 years of Global Women’s Project we also had the honor to pose with Ruthann Knechel Johansen. She started the idea of GWP in her speech “Giving Birth to a New World” in July of 1978 in North Manchester, Indiana at a Brethren Women’s gathering. A huge thank you goes to her and all the other women who worked together for GWP in all these years!
